Healing Hub

We believe everyone can and deserves to heal from trauma.

To help us on our healing journeys, having the right support can make a big difference - yet it can be difficult to know what to look for.

We created the Healing Hub to make this easier. Here you will find information on different kinds of therapies and healing modalities, things to consider when choosing a therapist, and useful resources.

The Healing Hub is not neutral: we share our opinion, as trauma specialists and survivors, on what we believe may or may not be helpful for healing. You may agree or disagree with us.

These are the most common types of therapies which you can find on the NHS as well as privately.

Body-based therapies

These are the types of therapies which we feel are particularly relevant to trauma because of their focus on the body. They are less common than talk therapies and are usually accessed privately.

Non-clinical body-based healing approaches

These are body-based practices which we feel can be just as powerful, if not more, than clinical therapies - if facilitated in a trauma-sensitive way.
